FTC Disclosure: DISBOARD displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. Some ads may be interest-based, meaning they are targeted to you based on your browsing behaviour across the web. We are transparently disclosing this in accordance with the FTC's Endorsement Guides and applicable consumer protection laws.

1. Why We Show Ads

DISBOARD is a free service — we do not charge users to browse or list Discord servers. To cover our operating costs (hosting, development, moderation, and support), we display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. Advertising revenue helps us keep the site free and continuously improve the experience for our community.

3. How Ad Targeting Works

When you visit DISBOARD, our advertising partners may:

  • Place advertising cookies on your device
  • Read existing cookies placed by their networks on other websites
  • Use pixel tags / web beacons to track page visits
  • Build an anonymous interest profile used across participating websites
  • Use your approximate location (derived from IP address) for geo-targeted ads

We do not share your Discord account information with advertisers. Ad targeting is based on anonymous browsing data collected by the ad networks themselves, not on your DISBOARD account or Discord identity.

Note: Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will see no ads — it means the ads you see will no longer be personalised to your interests. You may still see contextual or generic advertising.

6. Ad Labelling

In compliance with FTC guidelines and applicable advertising standards, all paid advertisements on DISBOARD are clearly labelled. You will see labels such as:

  • "Ad" or "Advertisement" — for display and banner ads
  • "Sponsored" — for sponsored content or listings
  • "Promoted" — for promoted server listings (if applicable)

If you see an advertisement that does not appear to be properly labelled, please contact us.

7. We Do Not Endorse Advertisers

The appearance of advertisements on DISBOARD does not constitute our endorsement of the advertiser, its products, or services. We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of advertised products. Always exercise caution before clicking on advertisements and making purchases.

8. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes. Although DISBOARD does not sell personal data in the traditional sense, our use of advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA. You may exercise this right by:
